We are seeking a skilled and experienced educator to join our team as a Metal Fabrication and Welding Instructor at TAFE NSW. As a vocational educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of metal fabrication and welding professionals.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position available at our Newcastle and Muswellbrook campuses. As a Metal Fabrication and Welding Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to students, ensuring they gain the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their chosen career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver metal fabrication and welding training to students, using a range of teaching methods and technologies
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Develop and maintain curriculum materials, resources, and assessments to ensure they are relevant and effective
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement training programs that meet industry needs
  • Contribute to the development of TAFE NSW's metal fabrication and welding programs, ensuring they remain relevant and effective
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of three years' post-qualification experience in metal fabrication and welding
  • A Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication trade or equivalent
  • Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training
  • A willingness to undertake our full-time 14-week 'Paid to Learn' course, if required
