Australian Government Navigation Expert

Job Description:

The Australian Government is seeking an experienced Navigation Expert to lead the development and delivery of complex navigation systems.

This role involves leading a team of technical experts, allocating work, resources and tasks, setting priorities, developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team to allocate work, resources and tasks, set priorities, develop strategies and evaluate business outcomes.
  2. Accountable for accurate completion of work within timeframes, share expertise with others and guide and mentor less experienced employees.
  3. Perform complex technical activities and associated tasks working to agreed priorities and outcomes.
  4. Build and sustain positive relationships with team members, actively participate in team work and motivate and mentor developing technicians.
  5. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Assess technical packages, reports, processes and product performance to meet specified requirements.
  7. Implement corrective actions to improve the quality of work undertaken by others within a work unit.
