Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Manager to join our team in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on individual with experience working in/managing a laboratory environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a talented team, driving scientific excellence and operational efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
This role is integral to the achievement of WHS compliance for the Hypersonic Structures & Materials Laboratory (HSML) and the Thermal Management Laboratory (TML), both located at Eagle Farm, QLD.

Responsibilities
  • Work with WHS and Engineering teams to maintain laboratory compliance.
  • Perform planning and scheduling functions for activities within the laboratories.
  • Maintain complex scientific equipment and monitor its performance.
  • Assist with documenting laboratory processes and operating procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • General laboratory housekeeping and maintenance.

Requirements
Experience working in/managing a hands-on laboratory environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills to a range of stakeholders.
Ability to develop positive relationships and contribute positively as an effective team member.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications or training relevant to laboratory management.
