At Brand Collective, we are on the hunt for an accomplished Sportswear Designer to join our team. As a key player in our design department, you will be responsible for creating captivating sportswear designs that push the boundaries of fashion and function.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of Australia's leading apparel, footwear & sport groups, operating across 300+ stores and boasting over 3,000 team members. You will be working closely with our experienced Design Manager and Account Managers to ensure we deliver outstanding results for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop seasonal or monthly ranges for accountable brands, licenses, and product categories.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design innovation and strategy.
  • Create production/tech packs for each style designed, ensuring seamless execution from concept to reality.
  • Prepare costing art-sheets, technical drawings, trim details, and construction specifications to support efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Liaise with factories and internal stakeholders to resolve design-related issues and ensure timely approvals.
  • Maintain and update files according to customer requirements, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance.
  • Source fabrics and trims related to product designs, fostering strong relationships with suppliers.
What We're Looking For

We require a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for sportswear design. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5-6 years' industry experience in a similar role within the fashion industry.
  • Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as proficiency in InDesign.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with textile/garment construction/pattern making and garment manufacturing knowledge.
