Position Overview:
As an IOL Manager – Surgical Sales, you will play a pivotal role in supporting surgical facilities and managing the comprehensive IOL portfolio. Your expertise will be essential in highlighting the advantages of our products and distinguishing them from competitors through high-level technical consultancy in designated accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, your daily activities will encompass:
- Driving overall IOL revenue and increasing market share within your territory.
- Enhancing PCIOL adoption rates.
- Implementing the Accelerator program in select accounts.
- Collaborating with internal teams to manage tender requirements.
- Partnering with Customer Operations on consignment processes, utilizing MyAlcon360.
- Cultivating new business opportunities to meet sales objectives.
- Nurturing and optimizing relationships with existing key customers.
- Providing insights on competitor activities to management.
- Upholding a strong company image at all times.

Required Competencies:
- Profound knowledge of the entire IOL product range, with the ability to effectively communicate the benefits of Clareon in comparison to modified and advanced monofocals.
- A collaborative mindset, demonstrating high levels of teamwork, innovation, and customer focus.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, capable of tailoring messages for diverse audiences.
- A customer-centric approach with robust relationship management skills.
- Flexibility, motivation, self-assurance, resilience, and a strong drive towards achieving goals.
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and independent work ethic.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for relationship management and account planning is preferred.

Educational Background:
- Tertiary qualifications in optometry, orthoptics, science, or business are essential.

Work Experience:
- A minimum of 2-3 years in customer-facing roles within a surgical context or related fields is required.
- A solid understanding of ophthalmic procedures, product technology, and sales to the medical sector is crucial.
- Proven experience in developing and executing business strategies, setting goals, and managing team performance.
