Perth, Western Australia Red Piranha Full time

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Security Operations Centre at Red Piranha. As a Penetration Testing Expert, you will play a critical role in delivering exemplary internal and external services by utilizing your strong documentation skills, ability to collaborate with others, and determination and drive for constant improvement.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, including web application and network testing. You will also be involved in security monitoring, security and data/log analysis, and forensic analysis to detect security incidents and respond to them effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing, including web application and network testing
  • Providing pre-sales support, scoping, report writing, and presentation to clients
  • Collaborating with external parties (IT teams) to plan and remediate findings
  • Monitoring Red Piranha and its clients' networks, computers, and applications
  • Determining and identifying the damage caused by detected intrusions and how it occurred
  • Recommending safeguards against similar intrusions
  • Performing security research with Red Piranha intelligence systems and malware systems
  • Monitoring and investigating security breaches

About you:

  • You must have Industry OSCP certification with 2-5 years of industry experience
  • You should be able to demonstrate technical knowledge
  • You should have an understanding of systems administration, networking, and risk/compliance
  • You should be able to work as a part of a team or autonomously
  • You should have good written and verbal communication skills
  • You should have strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • You should have a passion for information security and a desire to be a key player in developing Australia's first Extended Detection and Response platform and services
  • You should have experience in network and security implementation and/or operations
  • You should have good awareness of security and risk management and their implications for technical solutions
  • You should have knowledge in intrusion IDS/IPS, firewalls, and WAF
  • You should have wide knowledge and experience in using security tools used in offensive and defensive infrastructures
  • You should have a strong understanding of exploits, malware, and digital forensics
  • You should have knowledge of different log technologies, sources, and transport methods
  • You should be familiar with system administration supporting multiple platforms and applications
  • You should be able to communicate security issues to peers and management
  • You should have Industry Certifications OSCE, CISSP, CREST

Clearance Requirements:

  • You should be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Police Clearance
