About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contract Specialist to partner with our Contracts Management Team. In this role, you will proactively work with internal and external stakeholders to navigate complex high-value contracts and deliver sound commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing customer contracts and requested amendments to Canon contracts to reflect the dynamic nature of our sales opportunities
- Providing commercially focused and balanced risk assessments of exposure to Canon in contractual terms both in reviewing tender documents/contracts and in negotiating final agreements
- Working closely with peers, Senior Management, our in-house legal team, and other key stakeholders to finalize contracts expeditiously
- Undertaking continual improvement actions within the team and across the business to improve the customer contract experience with Canon
About You
The ideal candidate is commercially astute and practical, with strong judgment and outstanding interpersonal skills. You excel at managing competing priorities and deadlines and have experience in managing sales contracts negotiation, including reviewing and drafting contractual terms and conditions, while collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
You are confident working autonomously with well-honed negotiation and influencing skills. Your exposure to drafting and negotiating complex supply, service, and/or outsourcing agreements will be highly regarded, along with being a strong team player who thrives on delivering exceptional commercial outcomes. Having a tertiary qualification in a legal discipline and experience within a commercial sales environment would be an added advantage.
What We Offer
In return, we offer a supportive team environment where collaboration and support from your leaders and peers are the norm. We'll invest in your development and long-term future, and we can promise you variety and enough challenge to keep things interesting across the wide variety of customers we support.
Some benefits include:
- Flexible working arrangements where suitable
- Training and development opportunities to help you bring your goals to life
- Performance Recognition in the form of quarterly and annual awards programs for high performers
- Bonus Leave, including: Birthday leave, to celebrate, relax, or do something special. Canon Day, an extra day of leave during the Christmas holidays. Kyosei Day, or volunteer leave to take a paid day off to do good in your community
- Milestone recognition on your work anniversaries includes carbon credits, merchandise, or retirement fund rewards
- Discounted Canon products, offered at a significant saving
- An employee referral scheme rewarding you for recommending great candidates
Eligibility for specific benefits and perks may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Canon Group and the country where you work.
We believe in the power of an inclusive and diverse workforce. We trust you will bring your authentic self to work, and we will focus on making sure that together, we make a strong contribution to the broader community in which we operate. Where possible, flexible working arrangements are the norm, as we know a better work-life balance can improve your motivation, performance, and productivity.
