Job Summary

The Department is seeking an experienced Injury Management Specialist to coordinate its in-house injury management service. This role will support employees with both compensable and non-compensable medical conditions affecting their ability to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate case management for injured employees, working with stakeholders including principals, line managers, medical service providers, insurers, and rehabilitation specialists to facilitate effective management of injury and illness cases and a safe return to work.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to reduce the impact of workplace injuries, illness, and disability.
  • Formulate policies and guidelines aimed at minimising costs associated with workers' compensation and employee health-related absences.
  • Provide expert advice to ensure effective operational management of WHS, injury management, staff wellbeing and workers' compensation functions.

Requirements include a recognised tertiary qualification in a related discipline, a valid Class C Western Australian Driver's Licence, and eligibility to work with the Department. The ideal candidate will be able to travel to metropolitan and regional locations as required.

Key Qualifications and Skills
  • Recognised tertiary qualification in a related field.
  • Valid Class C Western Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with work rights.
