Electrical Design Professional for Large Scale Renewable Energy Projects

Zenviron, a leading engineering, procurement and construction services contractor, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Professional to join their team based in the Newcastle Office. Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering quality, safe, and commercially effective engineering designs for large scale wind farms and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Professional with exposure to large scale electrical infrastructure projects to be part of key growth across the renewables sector and make a valued contribution to the project and organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the Zenviron engineering delivery team, involved in the development, and ongoing refinement of HV and LV electrical system designs
  • Support electrical equipment procurement activities, co-ordinate suppliers and subcontractors
  • Understand your WHS responsibilities and actively promote and support the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others
  • Provide technical support to the project teams
  • Ensure all designs/documentation meet the relevant standards AS/IEC
  • Support electrical procurement activities with suppliers and subcontractors as necessary
  • Provide engineering support to project electrical works including engineering investigations, site inspections, solving problems and making recommendations

We understand the importance of recognising each and every member of staff and offer an attractive remuneration package. This includes a competitive salary of $110,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as professional development opportunities and a collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

  • Australian recognised Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia (or be eligible to obtain)
  • Experience in electrical infrastructure engineering design for large scale renewable energy or high voltage projects (highly regarded)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
