Portfolio Analyst Role

About a challenging opportunity to contribute to our Investments team as a Portfolio Analyst.

We're seeking an accomplished professional to make a meaningful impact at one of Australia's largest superannuation funds, collaborating with members of the Growth Assets team and external advisors to provide advanced analytical support for investment analysis and execution. The successful candidate will develop and review financial models, evaluate investment opportunities, conduct research and due diligence, and ongoing asset management and reporting.

This role is based in Brisbane and involves working closely with various stakeholders to identify and assess potential investments, ensuring alignment with our fund's strategic objectives. As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to delivering excellent results and driving growth within the Private Equity asset class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and reviewing comprehensive financial models to support investment analysis.
  • Conducting thorough research and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and assess potential investments.
  • Providing expert analytical support to inform investment decisions.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, economics, commerce, law, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-7 years of experience in the investment or financial services industries, with expertise in financial analysis and modelling.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and present clearly and confidently.
  • High analytical and problem-solving capability, with attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Familiarity with the private equity market environment.
