Research Associate

The successful candidate will be involved in independent and/or team research within the field of Cliometrics and Quantitative Economic History. This role involves undertaking research that is closely related to overseas studies.
- Engage in individual and/or collaborative research consistent with disciplinary practice.
- Contribute to the advancement of disciplinary knowledge through scholarly impact recognised by peers.
- Conduct research/scholarly activities under limited supervision, either independently or as a member of a team.
- Establish a personal research portfolio and develop independent research proposals.
- Collaborate with senior colleagues on applications for competitive funding.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fluency in French and German languages.
- Significant experience in collecting and digitising original archives.
- Proficiency in R, Python, Stata programming languages.
- A PhD in Economics discipline.
- Demonstrated commitment to keeping up-to-date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- A proven track record of high-quality research outcomes with clear evidence of research excellence and leadership capacity.
- Significant involvement in the profession and/or industry.
- High-level communication skills and ability to network effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships.
