Fire Service Specialist

We are Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, a leading emergency service agency responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland.
Purpose of the RoleThis collaborative approach across the service and with key stakeholders delivers improved safety outcomes for the community as an Auxiliary Firefighter. You will be part of a unique team that provides high-quality fire, rescue, emergency, and disaster management services through a single agency.
Key Responsibilities- You will respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team, working closely with colleagues to ensure effective response and resolution.
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by participating in community education activities and developing engaging content to raise awareness about emergency procedures.
- Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses provided by QFES, ensuring you have the necessary skills to operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training sessions, demonstrating your commitment to being available when needed.
- Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration, providing valuable insights and supporting the smooth operation of the station.

Estimated SalaryThe estimated salary for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
