Aspiring to become an umpire is an exciting career choice for those who enjoy the fast-paced world of sports. Attending our FREE Foundation Umpiring Course is a great first step towards achieving this goal.

The course, conducted by the SANFL Umpiring Department, focuses on teaching the fundamental skills required to become a successful umpire. It covers topics such as registration requirements, weekly expectations, and introduces participants to the umpiring development pathway.

This two-hour in-person session, combined with online learning, is designed for all entry-level umpires, regardless of age, gender, or background in the game. Upon completion, participants will receive valuable information to help them get started in their chosen league, including training venues, uniform requirements, appointment processes, and key contacts.
