About the Role

To deliver high-quality vocational education and training in a range of learning environments, you will work with program leaders and managers to set and achieve teaching objectives.

You will provide pastoral care to students, undertake administrative tasks, develop student learning programs, and maintain a learning environment that empowers students.

Additionally, you will communicate with colleagues, assist in securing work placements, and hold relevant qualifications and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, deliver, and assess quality vocational education and training
  • Work with program leaders and managers to set and achieve teaching objectives
  • Provide pastoral care to students
  • Undertake administrative tasks, including coordination and learning services activities
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate student learning programs and materials
  • Maintain a learning environment that encourages personal responsibility
  • Communicate and cooperate with colleagues in team teaching situations
  • Assist in securing and managing work placements or vocational experience components

Requirements:

  • Appropriate post-secondary qualifications and relevant industrial experience
  • Victorian Electrical A Grade License and Current Certificate III in Electrotechnology
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and teaching methodologies
  • Current Working with Children Check

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $78,564 - $111,391 per annum, plus superannuation. Melbourne Polytechnic offers a range of benefits, including a supportive work environment, opportunities for professional development, and access to resources and equipment.
