Meaningful Support Opportunities

We provide supportive roles that help people with disabilities thrive.

  • Establish meaningful relationships with participants to support their goals and aspirations.

  • Provide coordination of support for NDIS participants who have complex and multiple disabilities, facilitating the implementation of all supports identified in a participant's plan.

  • Strengthen participants' ability to navigate the NDIS and co-ordinate their supports, empowering them to access and co-ordinate supports to enable each person to participate more fully in their community of choice.

  • Develop strong local networks with service providers to ensure participants are effectively linked into funded supports and services.

  • Assist participants to identify the range of suitable supports and services in order to meet their individual goals identified in their NDIS plan.

  • Work with the participant's networks to ensure they are effectively linked into funded supports and services, working with the participant to link them into appropriate mainstream services such as housing, employment, education and health.

  • Work with the participant to develop their skills and resilience, assisting them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has the following skills set:

  • Tertiary qualified or equivalent in a discipline related to disability supports or 2 years experience working within the disability sector.
  • Experience supporting adults and children with complex disabilities utilising a range of person centred service models.
  • Experience in support planning and/or coordination.
  • An understanding of the NDIS and individualised funding.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • A high level of organisational and time management skills e.g. data collection, reporting.
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
