Job Title: Veterinary Team Leader Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced veterinary nurse to lead our nursing team at a leading animal hospital. As the veterinary team leader, you will have a shared responsibility of administration and management of the nursing team.

Your daily tasks will involve team development, liaising with intra and inter-departmental team members, upholding high standards of ECC/ICU care, driving team development and participation in all aspects of workflow in a supportive environment.

You will advocate on behalf of the nursing team and act as a representative for collaborative engagement between other departments, aiming for a one-hospital approach and business as a whole.

About Us:

We are a multi-disciplinary specialist hospital, and today it is a part of a large group hosting the largest contingent of Emergency Veterinarians and Criticalists in the Country.

You will have access to all the items required to practice emergency and critical care at the highest level, including intensive care ventilators, blood gas analysis, IDEXX pathology, cage-side ultrasound and on-site CT and MRI.

We encourage case collaboration, and you will have the advantage of working closely with the Surgery and Medicine Specialist nursing teams to deliver the best standard of care to your patients.

Requirements:
  • Cert IV or above
  • A proven history of leading a team of nurses in a senior capacity
  • Competence with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Commitment to being a team player, good communicator and contributing to a positive workplace environment
