Facilities Maintenance Specialist Role

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.

About the Position:

This Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

You will conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs, assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems, review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion, support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently, inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations, use established procedures to solve straightforward problems, exchange information clearly and concisely.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years of job-related experience
  • Meet physical demands including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads (50 lbs. or more)
  • Ability to follow standard work routines and application standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset
