We are currently seeking applications for an Electrical Technician position in a full-time capacity working Monday to Friday at our workshop. Overtime opportunities are available.

Reporting to the Workshop Superintendent, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Completing the electrical components of rebuilds of drill rigs and other mining equipment and mining assets.
  • Fault finding and diagnostics of drill rigs and other mining assets.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all electrical repairs and installations.
  • Collaborating with other team members to complete projects within deadlines.
  • Applying safe systems of work and implementing risk control measures in the workshop while performing tasks (JHA's & Take 5's).
  • Ensuring the work area is kept in a clean and tidy condition.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Trade Certificate – Automotive Electrical.
  • Previous experience conducting component change-outs and breakdown repairs.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting / diagnostic skills using OEM diagnostic tools to identify complex electrical problems.
  • Driver Licence.
  • Capability in reading and interpreting auto electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team, including mentoring and training Apprentices.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • PLC experience.
  • Airconditioning Licence and Certificates.
  • Forklift Licence and operating experience.

If selected, you will be required to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen prior to commencement.
