We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Operations Manager to lead our research governance team. This pivotal role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of research governance.
About the Role:- This position will oversee the development and implementation of research governance strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- The successful candidate will provide expert advice and guidance on research governance matters to researchers and staff, coordinating the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and ensuring we meet relevant metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing research governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Providing strategic advice and guidance on research governance matters to stakeholders.
- Coordinating the HREC and ensuring we meet industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in science, health, ethics or a relevant field, along with post-graduate or doctorate level research training or equivalent experience.
- Experience in clinical research governance, human research ethics and/or clinical research, preferably within a hospital, medical research institute or contract research organisation environment.
- In-depth knowledge of legislation and codes relating to research and clinical trials, including NHMRC guidelines and Australian law.
