Design Coordinator Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Coordinator to join our team in Toronto, Canada. As a key member of the Ontario Transit Group, you will play a vital role in designing and building the South Civil package of the Ontario Line.

This project involves constructing a six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal, as well as building four new underground stations. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering and experience in detailed design projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Reviewing shop drawings for constructability and accuracy
  2. Coordinating with construction and methods teams
  3. Assisting in forecasting and tracking progress
  4. Maintaining modifications tables during construction
  5. Preparing As-built documentation

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of building design and experience working in design teams or external consultants. Proficiency in Autodesk software such as Civil 3D, Autocad, Revit, and BIM360 is also required.
