The incumbent is responsible for developing business with existing Members and assigned Suppliers and for establishing new business within a designated Region or State to achieve membership and sales growth for the organisation.
Working from home, the incumbent is required to be motivated, results-orientated, and have a high degree of work-time flexibility to ensure all business dealings and position accountabilities are met on schedule.
The incumbent can expect to engage in frequent intra and interstate travel, spending a significant amount of time on the road in order to fulfil their duties.
In order to be effective in this position, the incumbent must be able to build strong relationships and have excellent selling skills.
The areas this role will service include; ACT, Wagga, Young, Goulburn.
Key Responsibilities
Develop business with existing Members and assigned Suppliers
Establish new business within a designated Region or State
Achieve membership and sales growth for the organisation
Build strong relationships and have excellent selling skills
Requirements
Ability to understand and adapt to changing business requirements
Ability to meet demands, deadlines, and timeframes as they arise
Sound problem solving abilities
High level of interpersonal and customer relations skills
Strong sales skills, with business awareness and commercial acumen
Ability in negotiating, with a focus on achieving a solid outcome for the business
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to develop rapport and maintain relationships
Intermediate understanding of IT systems
Intermediate understanding of MS Word and Excel
Sound understanding of the automotive parts and service industry
Experience
Proven sales, relationship management or high-level customer service experience is essential. Successful experience working in a similar role, preferably for a Cooperative or other member-based organisation, is also desirable. Experience in the automotive industry and understanding of automotive supply chain is highly valued.
Qualifications
Membership of an appropriate organisation to complement the function of the role is desirable. A Diploma in Business Management or Certificate in Sales is also highly valued. A current valid driver's licence issued by the relevant State regulatory authority is essential, as is a valid passport for the purpose of international travel.
