Accountant Position

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team in Melbourne's South East. The role will play a key part in financial reporting, compliance, and business analysis across multiple business units.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis

    Prepare cash flow statements and budgets by collecting, analysing, and summarising accounting information for stakeholders.

  • Accounting Systems & Internal Controls

    Develop and implement accounting and internal control systems ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with prescribed policies and procedures.

  • Financial & Special Purpose Reporting

    Prepare financial reports related to absorption, consolidation, mergers, capital financing, and financial commitments and obligations.

  • Compliance, Tax & Liaison

    Liaise with external accountants for the preparation of tax returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS).

  • Payroll Management

    Supervise end-to-end payroll processing for 100+ employees on both a weekly and fortnightly basis.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a professional capacity within Australia.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with MYOB, Quickbooks, and Xero Accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to work under pressure.
