As a seasoned Platform Engineering Expert, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our Windows systems infrastructure across the enterprise. The primary goal is to ensure that our services are reliable, secure, scalable and performant.This role involves effective collaboration with other cross-functional teams within the organization to meet business objectives. You will be responsible for managing Windows systems infrastructure and associated services such as Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS services etc.You will develop and automate system processes to reduce manual intervention and minimize operational overhead. Utilization of scripting and programming languages such as Python and Powershell will be key in automating tasks.Additionally, you will implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation. This requires an in-depth understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy and manage Windows systems infrastructure and associated services.
  • Develop and automate system processes to reduce manual intervention and minimize operational overhead.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Actively participate in incident management processes, quickly identifying and resolving issues.
  • Analyze and optimize system performance using monitoring and logging tools.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering teams to enhance security, reliability and scalability.
  • Monitor infrastructure and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing across teams.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience leveraging automation to manage Windows systems and infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Strong technical experience implementing, managing and supporting windows systems infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Powershell).
  • Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities; Available on a 24x7x365 basis when needed for production impacting incidents or key customer events.
