Mechanical Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering complex engineering projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review functional statements, organisational charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units, and to identify areas of duplication.
  • Establish work measurement programs and analyse work samples to develop standards for labour utilisation.
  • Analyse workforce utilisation, facility layout, operational data, and production schedules and costs to determine optimum worker and equipment efficiencies.
  • Design mechanical equipment, machines, components, and products for manufacture, as well as plant and systems for construction.
  • Develop specifications for manufacture, and determine materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities, and layout of plant construction and systems.
  • Organise and manage project labour and coordinate the delivery of materials, plant, and equipment.
  • Establish standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance in accordance with engineering principles and safety regulations.
  • Carry out inspections to ensure optimum performance is maintained.
  • Direct maintenance activities and coordinate requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings, project specifications, and engineering standards.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proven ability to manage projects, coordinate teams, and deliver results within deadlines.
