Electrical Maintenance Leadership Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Leading Hand to join our team.

This role requires a strong focus on ensuring the safety of yourself and your team members while performing electrical maintenance tasks. This includes leading by example and promoting a safe working environment throughout the site.

  • Ensuring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn and undamaged to complete tasks safely.
  • Providing visible leadership across the site to drive team performance and support a safe working environment.
  • Leading initiatives to promote zero-harm through reviews of safety performance, identifying corrective actions, and addressing poor safety behaviors.
  • Ensuring job hazard analyses (JHA's) are reviewed, amended, understood, and signed by all employees before completing tasks.
  • Conducting regular inspections and participating in incident investigations.
  • Managing work packs to ensure tradespeople have the necessary materials, tooling, and information to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Monitoring performance of trades against work scope and providing constructive feedback as required.
  • Assisting with toolbox and pre-start meetings to ensure safety, work scope, and quality goals are clearly communicated and understood by the team.
Requirements:
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate and/or W.A Electrical Licence.
  • Marine and/or Defence experience is desirable.
  • Previous experience leading teams with demonstrable leadership skills.
  • Ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Proven ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Previous experience managing non-conformance and corrective actions.
  • Previous experience with resource planning, scheduling, cost controls, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to promote a safe working environment with the aim of zero harm.
