About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at InfraBuild Wire in Newcastle. This is a day shift position offering stability and long-term career opportunities.

The role comes with a competitive hourly rate of $43.98 - $49.37, plus a $21.45 tool allowance.

Job Description

This is a technical role that requires experience in preventative maintenance, breakdowns, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will have expertise in overhauling fixed plant or equipment and ensuring compliance with quality and safety processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III Mechanical Trade certificate
  • Dogging and Forklift ticket desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ideal background in industrial manufacturing
  • Experience in gearbox and workshop rebuilds highly regarded
