Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team at GFG Alliance in Newcastle. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our industrial equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Overhaul and refurbish equipment as required
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Certificate III in Mechanical Trade
- Leading hand or team leader experience is highly advantageous
- Dogging and Forklift ticket desirable
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in industrial manufacturing and gearbox rebuilds highly regarded
