About the Role

KINNECT is seeking an experienced Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team in Newcastle CBD. As a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a critical role in facilitating the return to work of injured and ill workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing injured and ill workers to determine the best strategies for facilitating their return to work.
  • Visiting workplaces to understand the challenges injured and ill workers may face and educating employers on the health benefits of good work.
  • Case managing complex injuries and coordinating with treating doctors and health professionals to support injured workers in their recovery and return to work.
  • Providing clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Conducting ergonomic assessments in workplace, home, and vehicle settings.
  • Developing job dictionaries.
  • Performing manual task risk assessments.
  • Leading interactive manual handling training and implementing stretching and warm-up programs.
  • Conducting pre-employment assessments, including drug & alcohol testing, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing.
