Job Description

The Senior Network Engineer Lead is responsible for delivering expert IT Network and Security technical support to clients as part of Managed Services in the South Australian Government. This role involves guiding and mentoring less experienced engineers, leading a team, and providing high-level technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provision of professional and expert IT Network and Security technical support to clients
  • Mentorship and leadership of a Managed Services team
  • Providing high-level quality technical guidance
Technical Requirements
  • Highly developed problem-solving, architectural, and deployment skills
  • Sound depth and knowledge across multiple infrastructure disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to work in Enterprise Accounts with more than 100 users and over 30 logical servers
  • High-level experience in level 3 technical work disciplines
  • Sound understanding of industry best practice and technical issues in their areas of knowledge
  • Ability to understand client business goals and develop aligned solutions
Qualifications and Certifications
  • A recognised Computer Science degree or relevant IT vocational qualification with around 6 years' industry experience is essential, or equivalent
  • Current certification within two separate knowledge domains is essential
  • Network and Security certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or industry standard equivalent) are essential
