Orthopaedic Clinical Training Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled medical practitioner to join our dynamic clinical community as an Orthopaedic Trainee.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide high-quality patient care;
  • Perform operative procedures, manage emergency admissions, and coordinate patient admission and discharge processes;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes;
  • Participate in fracture clinic sessions, attending to patients' needs and providing expert advice;
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with quality improvement initiatives.

Department Overview:

The Orthopaedics Department at Northern Beaches Hospital is a large and well-established service, comprising experienced surgeons, registrars, and junior medical officers. Our team treats a diverse range of traumatic and elective orthopaedic conditions, providing exceptional patient care and promoting excellence in clinical practice.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a medical practitioner;
  • Proven clinical experience, with a minimum of two years' registration and progress towards career goals in Orthopaedics;
  • Demonstrated clinical competence, ability to work independently, and commitment to quality improvement;
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, embracing evidence-based practice and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in Orthopaedic medicine.
