Job Title: Senior Project Officer

The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Project Officer to join our team. As a Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing ICT projects under limited direction.

You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver innovative capabilities through various programs and projects. To facilitate this, we require an APS6 equivalent Project Officer to define the scope and requirements, develop plans and schedules, oversee and plan resource allocation and work packages, manage risks and issues, and communicate formally and informally on the project's progress.

This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to make timely decisions and undertake negotiations.

About the Job:

  • Key Responsibilities: Develop and complete procurement submissions and supporting documentation in accordance with legislation and Commonwealth and agency procurement guidelines and procedures.
  • Deliver effective contract management support, including contract variations, receipt and review of contract deliverables, and administration of contract closures.
  • Ensure planning and delivery of major project milestones are in accordance with financial requirements.
  • Provide effective administration of finances and budgets, including management of project record keeping requirements and systems; secretariat support for project meetings and forums; development of briefs and minutes, monthly reporting, yearly financial planning, and future budget planning.
  • Manage project assets, including monthly reporting, quarterly reviews, and asset rollouts.
