As an integral part of the team, you will:

  • Develop and implement mobility and exercise programs for residents under the direction of physiotherapists.
  • Provide recreational activities and therapy programs under the supervision of occupational therapists.
  • Participate in the planning and organisation of therapy programs.
  • Deliver a range of therapy-based activity programs as directed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.
  • Accompany resident groups on outings.

Requirements of the role:

  • Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.
  • Have experience in a similar role (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant) preferred.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Have empathy with the elderly.
  • Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
