Deputy Chief Financial Officer

Our financial operations manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial functions of the Group. You will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain robust general ledger integrity, and deliver high-quality financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain and manage general ledger integrity and financial systems ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations.
- Support CFO in board reporting and presentations with insightful financial data.
- Ensure Compliance & Regulatory requirements are met including GST, PAYG, FBT, income tax, and other obligations.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulators as required.
- Prepare and lead annual budgeting and periodic reforecasts to drive business growth.
- Deliver insightful variance analysis and performance recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA or CA qualification (mandatory).
- Minimum 15 years' experience in financial management ideally in insurance or regulated industries.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems (Excel, Xero, MYOB, or similar ERP).
