About the Role

We are recruiting a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Assets and Operations team in a regional area.

As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for the delivery of technical works related to energy transmission and distribution systems, including maintenance, construction, inspection, and operation of equipment.

About You

As an experienced Electrical Technician, you will bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to the role. Your background should include:

  • Application of Electrical Technician trade skills in the energy transmission and distribution environment.
  • Extensive experience in selecting, testing, fault finding, repair, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in high and low voltage switching and permit issuance.
  • A commitment to audits and safety processes, ensuring compliance with business requirements.
  • Implementation of enterprise WHS and Environmental procedures.
  • Adherence to business and industry standards.

Your skills extend beyond technical expertise:

  • Effective problem-solving during unplanned events.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency relevant to the role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling professional communication with stakeholders and customers.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold:

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (plus Qualified Supervisors Certificate) or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
  • Drivers Licence.
  • Qualified Supervisors Certificate.
  • WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Cert.
  • Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry, and business required licences, authorisations, and other such certificates deemed necessary for the role.

Desirable

The following qualifications would be highly regarded:

  • First Aid.
  • Elevated Work Platform.
  • Traffic Control.
  • Crane borer.
  • Dogman.
  • Forklift.
  • Chemical awareness, handling, and storage.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Environmental Awareness.
  • Switching knowledge.
  • Sub Station entry authorisation.
