About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Assets and Operations team in Goondiwindi. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for delivering a range of technical works, including maintenance, construction, inspection, and operation of equipment related to energy Transmission and Distribution systems.
About You
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in electrical trade skills, particularly in the energy Transmission and Distribution environment. Your experience should include:
- Application of electrical trade skills in the energy Transmission and Distribution environment.
- Extensive experience in selecting, testing, fault finding, repair, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
- Proficiency in High and Low Voltage switching and permit issuance.
- A commitment to audits and safety processes, ensuring compliance with business requirements.
- Implementation of enterprise WHS and Environmental procedures.
- Adherence to business and industry standards, contributing to the role of an Electrical Technician.
Your skills extend beyond technical expertise:
- Effective problem-solving during unplanned events.
- The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Basic computer proficiency relevant to the role.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling professional communication with stakeholders and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (plus Qualified Supervisors Certificate) or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
- Drivers Licence.
- Qualified Supervisors Certificate.
- WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Cert.
- Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business required licences, authorisations and other such certificates deemed necessary for the role.
Desirable
