Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stockroom Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for stocking and straightening merchandise on the sales floor, ensuring that products are accurately priced and stocked at the right levels.

Main Responsibilities

  • Receiving and processing stock deliveries, including unloading pallets and placing items in their designated storage locations.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized stockroom, including tidying up and disposing of any unnecessary materials.
  • Stocking shelves and displaying products in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Operating a forklift safely and efficiently to move heavy loads around the warehouse.
  • Counting and verifying inventory levels to ensure accuracy and minimize losses.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some post-secondary education in business administration or a related field being an asset.
  • Prior experience working in a retail or stockroom environment is essential, with knowledge of inventory management software and procedures being beneficial.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is crucial, as is strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads, with a valid forklift certification being preferred but not required.
