Pay Rate: Competitive

Location: East Perth, WA

Role Overview: This role involves managing land acquisition processes, including preparing reports on low-risk issues like objections and compensation offers, and coordinating with Government Authorities to facilitate land dealings. Additionally, it includes arranging payments, liaising with contractors and consultants on financial matters, and maintaining records to ensure budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake formalities associated with the acquisition and taking of land and its rationalisation and dedication.
  2. Prepare reports and draft recommendations on low-risk acquisition issues relating to objections and offers of compensation and issue settlement and other instructions to the relevant Government Authorities to facilitate land dealings.
  3. Arrange payment of land acquisition and compensation expenditure and liaise with contractors and consultants on fees and outstanding accounts and maintain relevant financial records and reporting to meet the budget targets.
Essential to be successful in this role:
  1. Knowledge of property acquisition processes and procedures (including Landgate).
  2. Finance systems experience required.
  3. High level of MS Office, especially Excel.
  4. Good written and verbal skills and experience with report writing.
  5. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Knowledge of the processes relating to the purchase of land/property and property conveyancing matters etc.
  7. Knowledge of Record Keeping Systems e.g. TRIM.
