The Senior Environmental Advisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity of operational projects and securing regulatory approvals for Lithium operations. This position necessitates close collaboration with project teams to request completion of Project Definition Forms, develop approvals Execution Plans, and coordinate environmental studies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes under Mining Act, Parts IV and V of State environmental legislation as well as the Federal EPBC Act.
  • Engage with project teams to obtain project information for planning environmental studies and approval applications.
  • Coordinate and manage operational approvals projects, including scoping technical studies and surveys, scheduling and budget tracking.
  • Manage consultants to conduct environmental studies and prepare environmental approval documents.
  • Prepare environmental approval applications and supporting documents in accordance with government policy/guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science/Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in environmental operational, consulting or EIA-related roles within the mining sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding and ability to interpret environmental legislation, guidelines, standards, and other requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience providing strategic and operational environmental advice across all business levels.
