Academic Position - Teaching and Research

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate academic to join our School of Law, contributing to the teaching of undergraduate core law courses. The successful candidate will engage with students, develop innovative course material, and participate in curriculum design.

The position involves teaching, research, and supervision of Higher Degree by Research students. You will be expected to establish a strong research program, collaborate on projects, and apply for funding opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, coordinate classes, assess students, provide academic guidance, and adhere to university regulations.
  • Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on projects, seek funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best-practice methodologies, and contribute to project discussions.
  • Supervision: Supervise research projects and students within the School's programs, demonstrate leadership in research conduct, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.

The successful candidate will have expertise or interest in International Trade Law, Climate and Environmental Law, and Real and/or Personal Property Law. A doctoral qualification in law is required, along with evidence of engagement in learning and teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.

This is a full-time position, with flexible working arrangements possible. Attendance at campus for teaching and other duties is expected.
