The role of a Registered Nurse in an Acute Aged Care setting offers a wide range of challenges and opportunities for professional growth.

This position is available at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, one of the nation's most respected hospitals with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local communities.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patients, administering medications, performing in-charge duties and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

You will also have the opportunity to work with patients who have dementia, delirium and other behavioral and psychological needs related to geriatric care.

Requirements:
  • Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills
  • Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking
  • Ability to work a rotating roster
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Hospital or Aged Care field
