Job Title: Experienced Nursing Professional

">Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) Position

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise as a senior nursing clinical leader in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.

  • The Clinical Nurse Specialist will employ advanced clinical skills and exercise extended autonomy of decision making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.

- Employ advanced clinical skills and exercise extended autonomy of decision making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.

- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications.

- At least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.

- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and problem solve to manage the complex clinical care needs of patients through the development and use of clinical management plans.

- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with advanced interpersonal and problem solving skills.
