The salary for this role is estimated to be around $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the location of Cairns.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team in Cairns. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality workplace rehabilitation services that promote optimal health and well-being.

Your duties will include:

  • Assessing injured workers to determine the best strategies for facilitating their return to work.
  • Visiting workplaces to understand the challenges injured workers may face and educating employers on injury prevention.
  • Providing clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing.
  • Case managing complex injuries and coordinating with treating doctors and health professionals to support injured workers in their recovery and return to work.

In addition to rehabilitation services, you will partner with various organizations to deliver a range of other services, including pre-employment assessments, job dictionaries, manual task risk assessments, interactive manual handling training, and ergonomic assessments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with AHPRA, ESSA accreditation, or ASORC/RCAA accreditation.
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
  • Able to thrive under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
