Job Opportunity: Out of School Hours Coordinator

The Port Stephens Council is seeking an experienced Out of School Hours (OOSH) Coordinator to provide support and leadership in the community's outside school hours education.

  • Lead a team of OOSH Educators to deliver high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement educational programs tailored to meet the needs of parents and children.
  • Collaborate with educators to plan, reflect, and improve program operations.
  • Ensure all Before and After School Care services comply with legislative, regulatory, and service agreement requirements.
  • Manage daily program operations, including administration, venue maintenance, equipment management, and local promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to OOSH Educators.
  • Educational Program Development: Design and implement engaging educational programs.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily program operations, including administration and venue maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Childcare Studies or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience working in Outside School Hours Care (OOSH) services.
  • Strong understanding of relevant Acts, Regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and ability to act as Nominated Supervisor.
