Electrical Systems Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will work rotating shifts Monday to Friday, completing electrical repairs and maintenance tasks to applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical systems and plant equipment in compliance with AS/NZS 300 standards.
  • Breakdown Response: Respond quickly to production breakdowns to minimize downtime and support daily operations.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and assist with planned work orders.
  • Fault Diagnosis: Program and diagnose faults on PLC's and MCC control rooms.
  • Electrical Projects: Assist with upgrades, installations, and electrical project work.
  • Error Analysis: Analyze root causes of equipment failure and implement preventive solutions.
  • Maintenance of Tools and Equipment: Maintain tools and equipment, as well as the workplace, to high safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Team Support: Support and mentor apprentices and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current License: Current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic License.
  • Industrial Experience: Strong experience in an industrial maintenance environment, preferably in a food or manufacturing setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Autonomy and Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
