Support Worker Role

Our organisation is seeking a compassionate and empathetic Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored support to individuals living with a disability, focusing on improving their daily living skills, domestic tasks, meal preparation, and independence.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to respond to emotionally dysregulated behaviour. They should also be comfortable supporting verbal aggression and have personal care experience.

  • Experience working with participants of various backgrounds, including those with drug use history
  • Ability to develop strategies for responding to challenging behaviours
  • Comfortable supporting participants with complex needs

In this role, you will work collaboratively with our leadership team to provide individualised supports that cater to the unique needs of each participant. You will assist with developing independence skills, accessing community resources, and maintaining accurate records of participant interactions and services provided.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Right to work in Australia
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Working With Children's Check
  • Driver's License
  • Own Vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
