Job Title: Consultant/Specialist Internal Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant/Specialist Internal Medicine to join our team at CC Medical. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our medical services.

About the Role:
  • Conduct regular inpatient ward rounds and outpatient sessions, incorporating teaching and providing specialist opinion to referring medical practitioners.
  • Participate in the provision of specialist outreach General Medicine services to regional hospitals and remote communities.
  • Provide care and advice on the management of patients with General Medicine conditions to colleagues both within and outside the specialty.
  • Provide an after-hours consultancy service to colleagues and junior medical staff.
  • Direct, coordinate, supervise, manage, and evaluate the work of subordinate medical staff in the provision of patient care.

  • Eligible for general, limited, and/or specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (MBA).
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to interact positively in a cross-cultural work environment, as a team member.
  • An interest in and a commitment to improving Indigenous health.
  • Evidence of commitment to; continuing education, teaching, research, and quality assurance activities.
  • An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
