Job Description

The role of Data Solutions Project Manager is a critical component of the National Security and Space Program (NSSP) within the Business Solutions Group (BSG). As part of this team, you will play a key role in delivering integrated, fit-for-purpose data solutions to meet the needs of national security agencies.

You will be responsible for bridging external user needs with internal capabilities, aligning customer goals with the Bureau's organisational and technical requirements. This requires a deep understanding of both science and information technology components, as well as experience working on projects with international scope.

The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers and NSSP leadership to deliver customer solutions aligned with NSSP operations and the Bureau's strategic goals. This involves ensuring data security and compliance, driving performance optimisation, and embedding governance across various specialist areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing projects with both science and information technology components, including those with international scope.
  • Science and Information Technology Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of both domains, including the methods and technical systems used by national security and Defence agencies.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external teams, including project managers and leadership.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues, and develop creative solutions.
