We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bakery Department Leader to join our team at Drakes Supermarkets.

About the Role

As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, and completing stock takes. You will work closely with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of bakery staff
  • Create and manage rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Generate orders and manage inventory levels
  • Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve bakery sales and profitability
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a bakery or retail management role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of bakery operations and inventory management
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategies to improve sales and profitability
