Job Summary

This role involves providing technical guidance to promote consistency across projects, customers, and business lines as a Senior Civil/Structural Estimator at Bechtel. You will review design scope criteria and develop quantities for undefined scope assumptions in coordination with other stakeholders/departments.

Your responsibilities include conducting detailed pricing for non-manual labor services using functional staffing and other direct cost inputs. You will also prepare estimate basis and assumption documentation for your area of responsibility in support of overall estimate development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze project requirements and develop estimates for capital costs, cash flows, and working capital assessments.
  • Provide technical expertise in estimating processes, including detail level estimates, design packages, Lump Sum Design Build, and Order of Magnitude estimates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost estimations and drive project profitability.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10-13 years of experience in estimating or a related field. You should possess advanced knowledge of EPC estimating methods, processes, and procedures.

Your skills and qualifications should include:

  • Demonstrated intermediate-to-advanced understanding of estimating core processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction practices, craft productivity, current market pricing, and life cycle costing.
  • Thorough understanding of project cash flows, time value of money, and cost index escalation projection sources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, scheduling software, and general estimating systems.

Included in the estimated salary package is a base salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications, plus additional benefits.
