Your Role

You'll serve as the technical authority for an enterprise client's infrastructure in Perth. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring their IT systems are secure, aligned with business objectives, and optimally configured.

This role demands a strong grasp of data center management, including compute, storage, backup, and VMWare environments, as well as virtual infrastructure in Azure Cloud.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and administer Windows and Linux operating systems.

- Monitor and optimize IT systems for performance, security, and scalability, focusing on managed environments encompassing Azure Compute and Storage, Cloud-Native Backup Solutions, VMWare/Virtualisation in hybrid setups, and Scalable Cloud Architectures.

- Manage problem management processes and work on investigations and resolution of escalated security and other IT issues across cloud and hybrid environments.

- Ensure service quality through technical competence and attention to detail and strive for high levels of customer feedback scores.

- Lead coordination with internal teams and vendors for seamless service delivery, including close working relationships with customer IT leads at mine sites, head office, and vendors.

Key Skills Required

- Minimum 10 years of IT experience with advanced infrastructure and systems management skills.

- Expertise in managing data centers, including capabilities in compute, storage, backup, and VMs, ensuring robust system reliability, scalability, and security.

- Expertise in cloud platforms, with good skills in Azure (essential) and familiarity with AWS or GCP alongside practical knowledge of virtualized environments such as VMWare.
